How to use Insense's chat feature to communicate with creators


One of the biggest advantages of using Insense versus other similar platforms, is that you have full control over your collaborations with creators, and a big part of this is the capability to chat with creators directly.

After the screening process and choosing the right creators, it’s time to get started! Here are some things we recommend when chatting with creators before hiring them.

Check their responses to your screening question

If you set up a screening question on your brief, the chat is where you will find the creators’ responses, they appear as the first message they’ve sent you:

Ask if they have any questions about your brief

One of the best ways to start your working with creators is to ask them if there’s any part of the brief that needs clarification or if they have any questions about the conditions of the collaboration. This is really helpful as you are making sure both sides are aligned on what needs to be done.

Ask them to send you additional sample content

If you got to this stage we assume you already checked the creator’s Insense profile with their portfolio and of course, their social media; but if you need specific examples, or you want to see if they have done content for similar brands before, it is recommended that you ask the creator to send you additional photos/videos just to make sure they are the best fit for your campaign.

Negotiate the price

Last, but certainly not least, remember that the price the creator applied for is not always the price you will end up paying for this collaboration. Negotiating is a big part of the dynamics between brands and creators, so if you consider that the price a creator is offering is too high, don’t discard them just yet! Talk to them and ask them if they would consider readjusting the price, this way you might save money on your campaign and also not miss out on the right creators.
